Glanworth u10 Girls

On Saturday 13th September our U10’s bright and early headed off to Passage West to play in a blitz with over 70 teams from all over the country taking part. All teams paraded into the grounds behind their team banners - this was a spectacular occasion. All the girls and mentors were really proud to parade behind the official Glanworth flag. Our first game was v Glanmire: we ran out winners by a narrow margin. Our next game was against a team from Kerry. After a tremendous struggle the game ended level. In our final game we were pitted against Douglas. After another enthralling encounter we had a narrow win. After three excellent games of football the girls were presented with their medals. Each and every girl was very proud when they received their medal around their neck. It was then off to receive some well deserved refreshments and enjoy the ongoing activities available on the day. Tired but happy they all arrived back after a great outing, late that evening in Glanworth. The Passage club are to be congratulated on organising such a great day’s entertainment for those young girls. We want to thank the mentors and parents who travelled with the girls on the day.
